Online GPS Speedometer is an web application designed to measure velocity, track distance, and provide speed conversion utilities using your device's browser Geolocation API. The service is provided strictly for informational, educational, and recreational purposes.

2. Speedometer Accuracy & Satellite Warranty Disclaimer

GPS velocity accuracy depends on numerous external variables beyond our control, including:

  • Hardware GPS chipset quality and antenna performance in your phone or device.
  • Clear sky line-of-sight satellite reception (obstructions such as tunnels, tall buildings, dense foliage, or heavy storm cover reduce accuracy).
  • Hardware sample rates and browser geolocation positioning frequency.

Disclaimer of Warranties ("AS IS")

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT SPEED READINGS WILL BE 100% ERROR-FREE OR THAT SATELLITE SIGNALS WILL REMAIN UNINTERRUPTED.

Note: Vehicle dashboard speedometers are legally mandated under ECE R39 standards to read 5%–10% higher than true speed to prevent accidental speeding fines.

3. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall Online GPS Speedometer, its creators, or operators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:

  • Traffic tickets, speeding fines, or legal penalties issued by law enforcement authorities.
  • Vehicle accidents, personal injuries, or property damage resulting from driver distraction.
  • Inaccurate speed measurements caused by degraded satellite telemetry or hardware malfunction.

4. Intellectual Property & Permitted Use

You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to access and use Online GPS Speedometer for personal, non-commercial purposes in compliance with these terms.

You may not scrape, frame, reverse engineer, or redistribute the core speedometer web application without express prior written consent.
